Reviews are Cool
Reviews are Cool is a personal project that is still under development. The concept is to provide users with in-depth reviews on a wide variety of products and then generate income through affiliate programs. To start, we've focused on antivirus software but plan on expanding soon.
What I did
I did everything on this site except for the content, which was written by my content manager, Nichole Dinato. I designed the layout in Photoshop. I created a back-end for people to log on and include their own reviews. I developed a basic CMS using PHP and MySQL where the writers can go in and post their content directly to the site. I set up all the affiliate accounts using Commission Junction and LinkShare.
I set up Google Analytics to track visitors, what they are reading and what they are clicking on.
