About A Sprout is another personal project that I am developing with Nichole Dinato and Ryan Foss. Since going vegan with Nichole, we noticed that there's a lack of well-organized, attractive, well-built vegan sites and even fewer with ample recipe databases. We hope to offer all these things to our users.

What I did

I did the layout design for the site; a logo is in the process of being designed by Nichole. Ryan helped with the layout for the recipe pages. I implemented a slideshow for the home page that cycles through big, eye-catching pictures of food with an information box going across the bottom.

I developed a mini CMS using PHP and MySQL for the content editors to use to update, delete or post recipes, articles or images.
